We are coming up on the end of 2010. My, oh my, it sure has gone by fast. Hope you are all ready for the up coming Holidays…what ever you celebrate.
Of course Holidays means special dress up stuff The racks are full of party and cocktail dresses. The parties have already started. Be special in your vintage! Also there are lovely sweaters and wraps to add to your Holiday ensemble.
For the last month I have been slowly adding great separates to the main racks in room 8. Lots of yummy sweaters…pull overs and cardigans. Warm and wooly or soft and cashmere. Terrific slacks and skirts for everyday and dress up.
Don’t forget room 7 and all the wonderful guy vintage…tell those guy friends! This room has been getting a lot of attention…selling lots of men’s clothing and bringing in more every week.
At the front desk is a case of vintage jewelry…this changes daily November and December are the months for vintage pins, necklaces, earrings and bracelets! Every time I go in to the shop I have to fill up the jewelry case! Even added a new case in Room 3….yep vintage jewelry is HOT!
Room 7 along with men’s vintage clothing has shelves full of vintage collectibles. Love the HUGE aluminum trays…I mean HUGE! Great for parties…fill them up and forget about them Hammered aluminum pieces are perfect for entertaining or everyday use. I have a few pieces that my parents received as wedding gifts in 1945! I use them often. Bar ware is always a popular gift for guys. Books of every subject are on the shelves along with vintage dolls, Christmas items and…oh yes…there is another case with jewelry!!!
December 4 is First Friday in Old Town Leesburg. We are open until 9pm. We have a guitar player to entertain as you roam thru the entire complex. Also December 16…3rd Thursday is Girls Night Out! Also open until 9pm. Last month we had a huge crowd. We had a little black dress scavenger hunt…the lucky winner received a vintage goody bag and a SusyQtiques discount coupon

Just a sad note. SusyQtiques had to close for a week because a few folks decided to trash room 8. We have security cameras…which I hate, but they are a big help to the police in identifying the “trashers”. Items hanging on the walls will only be taken down by folks at the front desk. Sorry if this is inconventient
I am off for a week to Colorado to see my grandbaby! If you need help just ask at the front desk…the gals there are more than happy to help!
