Today as I write this it is 70 degrees outside…SPRING! Well not for long..cold is coming back tonight!
Still spring is in the air and boy am I ready…how about you? The closet changing has begun. With SUCH a big closet it takes a while to move cold weather clothing out and warm weather clothing in…but I have begun!
Easter is late April this year and proms are already starting up…so the first racks to change have long dresses and suits!
Lots of vintage gowns simple and fru fru for the big prom night or simple and classic. What ever you are looking for you will find upstairs in room 7. I have moved the long dresses out of room 8 so you can get a better look at them. In this mix of dresses are some great outfits for weddings, Mother Of The Bride and any special event you have planned for the spring early summer.
Easter means suits and hats…got plenty of both. Those lovely dresses with coats jacket ensembles make quite a statement too. Plenty to choose from for that Happy Holiday.
Hats, handbags, jewelry…lots to chose from here too. AND more to come! I have a large group of hats being shipped…should be here in a couple weeks.

I am heading west to visit my grandbaby and of course I shop shop shop where ever I go!
When I return in 2 weeks the change over will continue as more and more vintage that I have been buying over the last 6 months comes out of hiding!
Remember to check out the jewelry in room 7, room 3 tall case and in the front case by the register. I add new pieces every week. Along with vintage collectibles in room 7.
Room 7 is the gathering place for guys and THEIR vintage clothing. Suits, blazers, hats, slacks…great stuff for men with style.
This coming Friday March 4 is First Friday in Old Town Leesburg so stop by have a cookie and check out SusyQtiques and all my neighbors. We are almost 50′s dealers now with just about anything you can imagine!

FYI…the new security system is working and I am sorry to say has caught a few folks pulling things off the wall hooks. AND ruining a gorgeous 50s ball gown. BUT their picture is now in the office and the staff is watching So pass the word…cameras work. I hate having to use them but…..
If you are looking for clothing from turn of the century thru the 30s you will have to contact me. At least for the time being, the fragile pieces will not be out on the floor.
